In terms of mid term investing, you should aim for 10,000 denars to get your first enterprise set up.

Both options worsen your relations with the faction and it's leader (plus it's lords if you looted a village). But the loot's worth a lot more depending on the prosperity of the village (hasn't been raided in a long time, or faction isn't at war so it can trade). Villages are harder, since they take a significant amount of time to loot, and requires that you stay put for the entire process (can't be interrumpted), which will make you an easy target should a lord decide to defend the village.

Looting Villages and Caravans (LOOTING skill recommended)Д¬aravans are easy targets that won't put a significant fight, and are very profitable in terms of selling goods.

Prices are (generally) equivalent to troop strength, and are listed in Section 4 of this guide. Sea Raiders and Taiga Bandits (Vaegir, snowy area) are specially profitable. Level your prisoner management skill, then use blunt weapons to knock troops out.

Slave Selling (PRISONER MANAGEMENT skill required)ДЄ bit risky, but well worth it.

This mission lowers your relationship with the target city, this matters when setting up enterprises (check guild master). The amount varies, but it's a lot early on.

Talk to kings and lords of big cities, and get the 'tax city' mission, you'll get 1/5 if completed, or you can steal the full amount.

You can make up to 1400 denars per event.

Tournaments are your best tool to get money, renown and connections early to mid game always ask if there's one nearby at every city's arena, and possibly make your early game moves around these tournaments.

You can define classes (numbers) in the 'Party' menu. You can select several classes if you hold down SHIFT and press numbers (1 SHIFT 2: 1 and 2, hear me!). Remember you're a commander, not a soldier.

Read and memorize orders numbers keys (1, 2, 3.) and function keys (F1, F2, F3, F4, F5, F6) are a CORE mechanic of M&B warband, learn to control your warband in battle by using these tools.

You have to pay and feed your warband or else they'll disband, so keep track of the weekly budget in the 'Reports' tab at the bottom of the screen and keep food in your inventory at all times.

Focus on getting money you'll create other resources such as renown as you go along, money should be your nВє 1 priority.

Establish your style early on and hone those skills whatever it may be, just have a game style (archer, soldier, knight, etc) in mind before starting since you'll save time and money when getting items and leveling skills.

You can get them back (most of the time) if you defeat whoever beat you.
